The aeration and over seeding will be done on Tuesday, September 8th. Notices were put on everyone's doors to let Terry know if you have a sprinkler system. Some of you have called and advised that you don't have enough time to get flags and mark your sprinklers before Tuesday, especially with this being a holiday weekend. Terry has advised that he will put the flags out Tuesday morning for you if you let him know that you have the sprinkler system. If you have any sprinkler heads that are hard to locate, please let him know about them by Tuesday morning so we don't have any problems. Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure what happened to summer this year but I'm certainly not complaining about the mild summer we have had. However, at least on the calendar, we are approaching the 'real' fall of the year so it is time to get our fall lawn work scheduled. The aeration and seeding will take place on Tuesday, September 8th, weather permitting. If you have a sprinkler system in your yard, please call Terry at 816-926-9949 or email him at terry@hunterresidential.com and let him know so he can get flags to you. All sprinkler heads need to be marked with flags prior to September 8th. If you have any questions, please call or email Terry. In October and early November, the lawns will also receive a fall fertilizing treatment and then a winterizing treatment and our shrubs and trees will also be fertilized.

The quarterly Board meeting will be held on September 16th at 6:30 PM at the Swicegood residence. We will be looking at bids for the 2010 year and work out a budget. If you have anything you want us to consider, discuss or take care of, please let us know prior to that date.

Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend!

Some homeowners have voiced their concern that cars are driving too fast through the development. We do have small children playing so please slow down some and be sure to watch for them. Thanks for your help!

This post is to remind all of our homeowners that any and all improvements done to your yard or the exterior of your home are supposed to be approved by the Board of Directors prior to the work being done. This includes planting bushes, flowers or installing decks or patios. The purpose of this requirement is to insure that all improvements stay within the guidelines of our Indentures and that all contractors used are licensed and insured and that any special permits the city or county may require are obtained. If a contractor damages another property or causes damages to the common grounds of the HOA, we need to know that they have insurance to pay for repairs. Trucks and heavy equipment are not allowed on the walking trail or common grounds and these areas should not be used for access to any homes. Additionally, debris of any type is not to be dumped on our common grounds or on the common grounds of the adjacent HOA. This includes lawn clippings, dead brush or trees and concrete residue.

Homeowners need to be sure that all improvements are made within the boundaries of their property and not infringe on their neighbors' yards. All trees, shrubs and plants must have mulch around them or be bordered by a rock or brick outline.

The Board welcomes homeowners to make improvements to their properties as this helps the appearance of the development as well as increases property values which is especially important in today's economy. However, we need this approval process in place to protect the HOA and our homeowners. If you have any questions, please call Terry Langford at Hunter Residential at 816-926-9949. You can also get the Architectural Modification Request Form from Terry.

Thank you for your cooperation in making this a great place to call home!

McBride & Son has a local landscaper coming out this week or next (weather permitting) to remove the remaining metal posts on the trees they installed. They have already been removed from some homes so not everyone will be effected.

Workers are here cleaning out mulch beds today and getting them ready for new mulch to go in tomorrow morning. Please note that the HOA is only responsible for mulching the shrub bed that was installed by McBride when the home was built, the tree at the street and the tree in your front yard. Homeowners are responsible for mulching any beds, plants or trees that they install in their yards. All trees, shrubs and plants must have mulch around them or be bordered by a rock or brick outline. Mowers will not be responsible for damage to plants that are not properly outlined.
